It's amazing what they can do... I have double feelings about this, though... It's great we have that technology but on the other hand, if you hear a great performance or solo you know or imagine has been "enhanced" this way... it's not the same thing is it?
I agree that it might make it easier for poor performers to "improve" themselves quite a bit, but the fact is that almost any recorded music today, including "live" gigs, is processed and modified quite heavily. As always, the true test of the good musician will be if they can pull it off live. Since it's getting much harder to make money off the actual recordings, it's the live events that musicians will be dependent on. So, they'll only be hurting themselves if they overly enhance their music.
